IEEE/PES Technical Tour

The Fall 2007 meeting of the IEEE/PES Transformer Committee was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the week of October 14, 2007. Jordan Transformer was asked to host the Technical Tour for members to view our transformer repair facility. Members and their companions were shown the various stages of transformer repair and toured through some of the departments such as the winding room, assembly area, and testing bay. The tour was interactive with members asking questions of some of the staff while some of the manufacturing processes were being performed such as coil winding. The IEEE/PES meeting in the nearby Twin Cities afforded Jordan Transformer the opportunity to display its transformer repair capabilities to engineers from all over the world.
